I'M SOO EXCITED, I JUST CAN'T HIDE IT!!!! Okay, so not as good as winning the lottery, but I am still one happy camper :) I'm going to American Idol next Wednesday, May 2nd, so look for me on TV. As you know from reading previous blogs, I love American Idol and now I've been selected from their waitlist to join the audience. Jon Bon Jovi will be the mentor this week.

Dave and I had a great day today...celebrating Earth Day! This morning we went to Pasadena for the Conscious Living Fair. Here's a picture of the Hoola Hoop dancers, dancing to Reggae Music:
Then we went to the Autry National Center in Griffith Park for the 1st Annual Environmental Film Festival - Earth Day, to see the movie, Who Killed the Electric Car? .
Before and after the movie, there was a Q&A with Ed Begley Jr. and Alexandra Paul, the celebrities in this movie. We also met with Chris Paine, the Director & Writer.
Here's a pic of the statue in front of the Autry National Center (Gene Autry):
After the movie, we came home and watched Green. It’s the New Red, White and Blue on the Discovery Channel. Check out the website(s) in this blog, by scrolling over the bold, dark green Title's of the movies and double clicking to link directly to the websites and learn all about how you to can...Save the Planet!!!

The last few days have kept me and Dave really busy (as usual). My friend, Jenni, and her son, Tyler, came down to LA for some fun in the sun on Spring Break. They went to Disneyland Monday thru Wednesday, then came up to our place for a day at Universal Studios. We had a great time and it was great to catch up with both of them. Here are a few pics of our day:
For more pics, check out my Flickr site on the left side of this page.
It’s been awhile since me and Dave have gone to the movies, and we both really like the Independent Movie scene down here. So, last night we ventured over to Hollywood to see Everything’s Gone Green
The movie was really good and thought provoking. I highly recommend it for many reasons…cinematography, photography, acting and premise of the story. It reminded us of Garden State, but better! After the movie there was a Q&A with the Director, President of the Movie Production company and the star of the movie, Paul Costanzo.

Okay, so this VA Tech Massacre has really affected me, and I felt the need to rebut on my blog. After reading Cho Seung-Hui's plays on AOL.com, I posted the following comment:
Janna, you are absolutely right about the Formative years (earlychildhood) and what happens during youth creates what individuals become as adults. Why then, does the media not publish what the parents of these psycho killers have to say about why their children turned out the way they did? Have we heard anything from Cho's parents? Or for that matter, Klebold's and Harris' parents from Columbine 8 yrs. ago? I think they can help us learn how to see the signs, before something like this happens again. Or at the very least apologize for missing the signs, in order to help us all prevent a terrible tragedy like this from happening again.
My comments are only for parents, who may read this blog, and decide not to ignore signs from their children. It's obviously time for some serious change!! As soon as I come into some money, you will see a documentary on this subject.

First, notice the Google movie bar on the left hand side of this blog. It's a few of the short films, Dave and I have filmed and edited over the years.
Over the weekend, I visited with my friend, Victoria, and her kids at her new place in Tujunga. Then on Sunday, I rolled out of bed and went to the Farmers Market here in town. I always see celebrities there, and I can get my veggies too. This time I saw these 2 celebrities:

After the Farmers Market visit, Dave and I went for a drive to Malibu Canyon for a beautiful hike. Here are a couple of pics of the view during the hike and the trip back home:
Back at work today, but looking forward to some traveling over the next few months to see friends, family and co-workers.

Tonight, the Sales guys from my work invited me to the Lakers game at the Staples Center in a Luxurious Suite with free drinks and food and I had so much fun!!! I hate to say it, but I love LA. The traffic really sucks here, to say the least, but I'm getting used to it. We are still planning to move to the beach, but we have decided to wait until our 1 year lease is up in August.
I'm also addicted to American Idol and I'm super upset that Gina was kicked off tonight. I really like her and Haley should have gone...
I mean c'mon...Haley really cannot sing, but Gina has real passion. So, maybe I should just shut up, but I'm upset and this is my blog and I'm aloud to express my feelings on here ;) And I felt the need to vent. Getting tired now...more to come (of course). Thanks for reading!!!
