As I mentioned in my previous post, Dave and I moved from an apartment into a house. I love having a yard again and our own laundry room. Here's a short video of our new place (keep in mind, we are still unpacking):

Last week (May 30th) was my friend, Katie's birthday and here are a couple of pics from our day together:

This weekend Dave and I went to the Green Fair Silicon Valley
We met a couple Celebrities and learned about our local transportation system, composting, solar power and everything Green under the sun. Here are a few pics from our weekend:

This pic is me and Will Durst. For more information see: WillDurst.com

We also met Ed Begley Jr., otherwise known as the King of Green! We saw him all the time when we lived in LA, but never snapped a pic. So, here's one:

For more information on Ed...check out: Living with Ed

I'm preparing for a trip to Chicago for work this week and I'm sure I'll have an update on my trip next weekend, so be sure and check back...

Take a look at this ticket...

It's my ticket from the American Idol Finale (night before)!!! I drove down to LA last Monday night, stayed over my friend, Trisha's place and then we both headed over to the Nokia Theater to stand in line on Tuesday for the Live show. The drive was long and standing in line for over 5 hours in the hot sun was a bit grueling, but sooo WORTH IT!!

We also met some cool people and watched the Rehearsal too! We were not able to bring cell phones or cameras into the theater, but here are some pics from outside:

Check out my Vlog at cherithomas.com for the Finale video. All in all a good week! Now we're getting ready to move from an apartment to a house in the same city over the next couple of weeks, so my posts will be limited for the next few weeks. Hope ya'll are doing well and Happy Memorial Day!

Looks like we are moving again... Our friends moved out of their house, here in Los Gatos, and we have been wanting to move into a house for some time now. We miss our old house in Willow Glen and I would love to have a garden again. Not to mention, laundry facilities in our house (no more collecting quarters...yipee!). So when the opportunity opened up, we took it. We'll be moving about 2 miles down the road in mid-June.
Here's a pic of our new place:
Check out this pic of my niece, Emily, (snapped by Dave) on the beach in Capitola last weekend.

I also enjoyed hanging out and catching up with friends and family, as you'll see from these pics...

Congratulations to my cousins, Alicea and Josh, on the birth of their new son, Adrian Willis Lybarger!! Adrian was born May 1st, 2008.

Normally, I put all my videos on my Vlog at Cheri's Video Blog , but more people come to this site, so I'm posting it here, as well. Dave edited this short video a couple of years ago, but it still applies today:

For Earth Day weekend, Dave and I drove up to San Francisco to visit Pier 39 and Aquarium of the Bay.
Go GreenThe Pier was a bit windy, but beautiful. The Pier was also celebrating EarthFest and we checked out a few of the booths and the local Aquarium. The tunnel under the San Francisco Bay was a great experience and very surreal. Here are a few pics:

Yesterday, I walked 6.25 miles for March For Babies and accomplished my goal of completing the walk. Although, I did trip and fall about a 1/4 mile from the finish line and scraped my knee up a bit and twisted my ankle, which has not helpful with my busy schedule today. I'm now sitting on the couch with my foot up on ice. Hopefully it will heal soon. Anyway, here are a couple pics from the walk:

I can't believe I have no pics, but my friend Deirdre from Vegas was in town this weekend and I spent some time with her. We had a great time catching up!!

Last weekend, Dave and I drove up to Napa Valley for Sonoma's Film Festival and a little wine tasting. We enjoyed walking around Downtown Sonoma on a beautiful spring day and catch a movie as the sun set. Check out their website at: Sonoma Film Festival for more information.
Here are some pics from the day:

Saturday night, we stayed at my brother's house and were pleasantly surprised to see our friends, Natalie and Paul and catch up, because we hadn't seen them in a couple of years. Paul and Natalie will be getting married this August in the Napa Valley. Congratulations!!!
Here's a pic of the 3 of them.

...and on Sunday, I picked up my niece in my new car and we went for a drive to pick up brunch.
I can't explain how great it was to continuously look back at my niece and see her smiling really big and enjoying the sun and wind on her face. Gotta love her ;) Here are a couple pics of my beautiful niece, Emily:

In lieu of Earth Day, check out this website for new, interesting and downright funny information on how to go Green:

Tomorrow, Dave and I will be driving up to Pier 39 for Earthfest at the Aquarium of the Bay. Check out the website for the Aquarium of the Bay, as it's one of the best graphic interfaces, I've ever seen: Aquarium of the Bay

Again, it's been awhile since I last posted and as usual, I've been busy. The week before last, I traveled down to LA for work and met up with a few friends.
On Saturday night, I met up with my friend, Trisha, for dinner at the Geisha House in Hollywood. I thought we saw Shawn Michael Scott (Stiffler from American Pie) at a table near us, but not 100% sure it was him. Same mannerisms, but not the same smile. Sunday, I met up with my friend, Denise. I was very happy to see both of them again! My hotel was about 2 blocks away from where we lived in Studio City, so it was great to be back in my ol' stomping grounds again too. Here's a pic of me and Trisha at the Geisha House havin fun:

Odd...but while I was in LA this time, I didn't have my normal cravings to take pictures of everything in sight and relied solely on my friends to take pictures. I thoroughly enjoyed spending time with my friends and co-workers, while I was there.

Last weekend (April 5th) Dave's best friend, Dan, and my good friend, Jenni, both celebrated birthdays and I wish them both a very Happy Birthday!
Here's a pic of me and Amanda last weekend...at home in Los Gatos:

And last, but definitely not least...CHECK OUT ME AND MY NEW CAR! It's a convertible and those of you, who are long time friends, know I've been wanting a convertible since I flunked my first two driving tests, when I was 16. I'm looking forward to taking my niece for a drive along the coast with the top down, just like my Aunt did with me when I was young. Thanks Dan! Now it's time to put the 89 Honda Prelude out to pasture...
